Applying OnLine


Many people are still having major problems with applying for the pension online. Or more specifically we continue to help clients fix problems with online applications.

Again our advice is to – “do not do it”!

The online process is designed to improve Centrelink internal processes. It does not provide any benefits to claimants and more often than not causes problems. The sequencing of questions and the ability to provide an ‘overall claim position’ is compromised in this online process. The implications for responses on one web page to another are often significant and need to be understood prior to claiming.

If nothing else read all the questions on the hard-copy claim form first, and have a claim overview before completing any online questions.
